Apply now for SA's most premier media management programme aimed at aspirant media planners, buyers and media sales representatives.
The course is essential for those who want to either get into media planning for a career OR who require a greater understanding of media strategy in order to improve their status as a Brand Manager, Account Manager or Media Buyer.
Presented by the Advertising Media Association of Southern Africa (AMASA) and endorsed by the Association of Advertising Agencies (AAA), Media Management promises to provide participants with a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of media, their advantages and disadvantages of each media channel and ultimately provide students with the ability to develop a full media plan and strategy for a client or agency.
This course has been re-designed with the needs of the Ad industry in mind, and will be presented in two segments. The first segment focuses on the skills needed to be a basic Account Manager, while the second segmentfocuses on strategic planning. This addition is designed to equip the account manager with the knowledge to debate and contribute to the strategic planning process, an increasing job requirement. For those students who wish to enter the field of Account Management both segments of the course must be completed. People with experience in Account Management who wish to learn more about strategy, may opt to only do the 10 sessions on Strategic Planning.
Each lecturer has been hand-picked for their expert knowledge and experience in each specialist topic. Learning is achieved through theory and practical application. Lecturers will share actual incidents from their own experience and encourage students to debate issues.
Brand managers are the custodians of all that make a brand sacred and strong, from the look, the feel, the tone of voice and the consumer insights. You will learn all about target markets and how to find a way to communicate all that the brand promises to a specific target market, as well as how to ultimately make sure that the brand delivers. Strategic Brand Management incorporates the latest theory and practical applications of two key disciplines – Brand management and Account planning respectively. Delegates will leave the course with the latest Brand Management knowledge and insights, which will aid them in staying on the leading edge of a continuously changing field.
This course is pitched at a senior level and applicants are required to have prior study of marketing or substantial industry experience.
